safe temps?

since its summer and we dont have an AC at home, my pc gets a bit warmer than usual. I have an i5 4690k with a good overclock and sometimes the hottest core can reach up to 78°C? Is this still safe for a good lifespan? I personally thought that it cant be too big of a deal since many laptop cpus run at mid 80's. 

What do you guys think?

Still safe. Lower is better, but the safe point is different for everyone (I stop around 85C) and throttling begins around 95-100C depending on the family.

4690K and 4790K, with the former being what I'm using right now. 

 

You don't have to worry as long as your case has optimal airflow to allow as much heat to transfer off the cooler.

Jk, 78C is fine, if you are not comfortable with it, just lower your clocks
