Suggestions for CPU

Hey guys, 

 

Hoping to get some feedback on some recent events that happened to me... 

 

I managed to get an old computer a from a friend who wanted to throw it away. I cleaned up the computer and what I got was a Gigabyte H97-D3H motherboard with the Intel i3-4130 installed on it. I also happen to have an ASUS GeForce GTX 1050 Ti which I plan on installing. I was just wondering if anyone could advise if it's worth to replace the CPU or not. I don't play much games except for League of Legends but was wondering what the best "bang for the buck" I could get with what I have. I don't mind spending 200 - 300 for the CPU and as for cooling, I'll upgrade the stock Intel cooler but any suggestions for cooler/CPU combos would be appreciated. In terms of how the computer looks, it's a closed case so no point having anything fancy (All I care about is performance). Any help is appreciated!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.
