UPGRADING AN OLD RIG

Hey guys i'm thinking of upgrading my old core 2 duo e2200 to core 2 quad q9550 due to obvious motherboard restrictions intel g31m vs2 and have 4 gb ram

by the way i am gonna purchase the processor from aliexpress any advice.

By the way upgrade is for Gaming purpose and yes i have hd 5450 as my gpy LOL

Sounds good. The Q9550 is more powerful than the Q6600, right? I've got one, and (at least in Geekbench) it competes with some i5s and even i7s. And a full quad core will defo help your gaming. How much are you paying for it, and what country are you in?

BRUH. That's 1/3 as powerful as the integrated GPU on my CPU. I would recommend getting something like a used 560Ti

Can you afford some AMD APU? They are cheap and gives improvement in both CPU and GPU.
