It will work, though R5 would be much better over the i5. Also to push for the 6gb 1060 or 580 if you can find one. What is PSU?

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

What's the PSU model? A bad one can ruin everything. Also, 3gb vram is too little for modern AAA titles to run with good textures, so get 1060 6gb. AMD RX cards are unavailable, unfortunately.

i'd like to but this is for a friend who is going game all day, and the 6500 should outperform 1400 on all games in singlethread i guess. Psu is cx 450m and no, 700€ is maximum budget so he wont be able to get one of these gpu until next month. Actually, he is going to get all the build and next month the gtx 1060 6gb...

so this is what i suggest for him atm (also, i will give him my gt 730 2gb gddr5 until he gets the new gpu but i dont know which is better, hd 630 or gt 730...)

R5 has better frame times and 1% lows, trade blows in games with i5 in averages.
