Alright so I downloaded the latest nvidia drivers off of nvidia's website, I've reinstalled them 3 times, I've ran dxdiag in command prompt and found no Direct X errors or driver errors, but ever game i play, whether it be 2 minutes into the game or 2 hours it'll suddenly freeze, and I'll hear the error message that I've gotten a direct x error.

I cant actually see it other then when i click sign out and cancel quickly to have the game shut down because task manager will absolutely not get me back to my desktop once it crashes.  I'm running sli Gtx 1070 Gaming X's.

Alright so run ddu? Then restart in safemode?

you don't have to do the safemode thing. Works fine without.

check windows event viewer under System. There should be a report of what is happening on background. Probably a warning, could be an alert.

If something is wrong it should be traceable there.

Just keep in mind this could be a PSU related issue. Certain transient loads may put too much stress on the PSU causing a lack of current and a crash.

would be nice to know your rig.
