So i'm currently trying to get enough money for a setup i've planned for some few months now, can some nice person please check if this is a good setup, or did i do something wrong?

Ram: Geil Super luce 16gb ram 3000mhz (4x4) black

Harddrive: eagate Barracuda ST1000DM010 1TB

case: Nzxt S340

fans: (im using the ones, that comes with the case, ill upgrade it later)

graphic card: msi gtx 1060 6gb

processor:i5 6600

Motherboard: MSI B150 pc mate

Power supply: EVGA BQ 500W

Cooling/heatsink: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

ssd: kingston ssd 120gbs

Anything i should change, or add?, I'm just wondering since this is my first built, and it's something im trying to prepare myself for the games coming out after the summer break.

get a ryzen 1400 or 1600

1500X or 1600.

1400 is more close to Ryzen 3.

1500X has double the amount of L3 cache and a bit higher clockspeeds.

I'm gonna buy a used PC that's kinda like that except the gpu is an r9 390. Since my brother has a 1060 6 gb i can tell you it's a pretty decent card, the thing is I don't know what games you play so yea

RX 580 is better but GTX 1060 is also nice.

Only sad fact is that it is out of stock CAUSE OF GOD FUCKING MINERS. USE ZCASH YOU CUNTS.

well i've only heard trash about AMD, so i dont really know what to expect, never really researched into it so much.

It's because AMD was trash until this year. their FX CPUs were garbage, since their IPC was horrible, and they inexplicably keep making those POS CPUs, even today.

Their Ryzen lineup, hower, is the complete opposite. it has very good IPC, around broadwell level, more cores than intel, better value, multiplier unlocked, etc.

I don't

know so  much about other processor companies, i'd rather go with something im familiar with

Currently i5 is shit compared to Ryzen 5. i5 offers 4 cores with 4 threads with 6 MB of Level 3 Cache. Clock speeds are ranked by models like 7500, 7600, 7600K. K means it can overclocked. Ryzen 5 offers 4 or 6 cores with 8 or 12 threads with 16 MB of Level 3 Cache. Only 4 models are out currently and those are :

1. 1400 (4cores/8threads 8 MB L3 Cache @ 3,2 GHz, Comes with Stock cooler)

2. 1500X (4cores/8threads 16 MB L3 Cache @ 3,5 GHz, Comes with Stock cooler)

3. 1600 (6cores/12threads 16 MB L3 Cache @ 3,2 GHz, Comes with Stock cooler)

4. 1600X (Same as R5 1600 but @ 3,6 GHz, comes without stock cooler)

This is build I would go for $750 :

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 1500X 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($174.99 @ SuperBiiz)

You need a new mobo cause AMD uses PGA instead of LGA and it is different socket and chipset.

Well, I guess you selected this Ram because of its design in some part, but i recommend using 2x8 GB instead of 4x4 GB, because its better if you want to upgrade your RAM later. But If you are sure 16GB will be enough for a longer time 4x4 will be just fine too.
