Hi,

Just got me a Gigabyte Windforce RX460 2GB Video Card (I know nothing fancy)

And its giving me hell in windows 10

Now i was running HD6850 and replaced it with this and installed its up to date drivers and saw a odd driver showing up in Display Adapter Properties under Display setting

But when you go to drivice manager and its show the correct driver.

Now i did a windows repair and nothing so reinstalled the drivers same issue again????

Now i rebuild my computer with my Windows 7 build and drivers showed up all good even no issue with seeing my monitors.

So updated windows to 10 and the issue returned with it showing Generic PnP monitor

This is killing me and need help

A screen shot attached

Use DDU to uninstall your GPU driver. Boot into safe mode and re install GPU driver.

Please quote people in the future, or they might not see you replied. :)

On topic, are you sure you're downloading the drivers for the rx 460 4gb, and not something else?

You might also want to try it with older drivers.

Are you installing the drivers from the disk or from the Internet?

Make sure to quote me or tag me when responding to me, or I might not know you replied! Examples:

Do this:

And make sure you do it by hitting the quote button at the bottom left of my post, and not the one inside the editor!

Or this:

@DocSwag

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.
