AMD cards are the ones selling fast.

But they're not paying extra for the 1070s like people do for the AMD cards, they're just paying regular used price, or buying them new.

so what's to say that i can sell my 1070 with a good return? it is in demand, i think

Nothing but it isn't worth it. I have GTX 960 since release and I still didn't think about selling it. :/ I am even using it on upgraded rig.
