So I just finished my exams and I need to upgrade from my current build - which is a bootcamped 2011 27" iMac with pitiful specs for what every teenager does. Gaming.

16GB DDR3-1600 Samsung (Self-Upgraded)

1TB Seagate Drive ????RPM

AMD Radeon HD 6970M 1GB

Proprietary Apple Things

Budget £1.7K + £0.5K Monitor for:

I also want to use a just under £500 monitor from LG - Curved 2560*1080 34" - https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/LrcMnQ/lg-34uc79g-b-340-144hz-monitor-34uc79g-b
I realise I forgot to add Case fans but that's not that important. I can get some PWM fans for my color scheme for like £40

I dislike simultaneous releases

Good, but why the WD ssd? there are plenty of m.2 ssds available these days.

It is a decent price for ~2GB Read Speeds, not as good as the 960EVO but better for the budget

How is it over your budget ? Add up the cost of your build and the monitor and then you will see that my build is cheaper.

Oh Yeah... but I want to be on the Intel platform for the OC, I don't need the cores at all
