Hey guys,

I have a monitor with native resolution of 1360×768. And i made some custom resolution from nvidia control pannel and i was able to get more resolu on my pc. But i think that my 1360×768 resolution had more colours but was rigid and the 2k resolution i used was smoother but has lees colours in some way. So i was thinking in which resolution should i play my games in. I think that somhow the quality and texture of the game was better in 1366×768 but gameplay was smoother in 2k resolution.

And i have some other questions to ask related to the resolution:-

Q1. What is dsr in nvidia's 3d settings? And how to use it. (Links wouod work)

Q2. How can i make my gaming experience better?

Q3. What is AA (anti aliasing)?

Q4. Is more AA is always better?

Q5. Is there any third party apps that can help me to get better qualite and textures in games?

Thanks for answering.

Don't  forget to answer my real problem the 'paragraph'.

Thank you :)

It's possible you picked a lower bit depth for the custom resolution.  Do you notice banding and strange colours?

It's basically an easier way of doing custom resolutions

Depends what you want, but more powerful hardware or nicer peripherals always helps

It smooths out the edges of 3D objects to look more natural, so you don't see the harsh transition from the pixels of the object to the pixels of the background

Generally yes, unless it is so demanding that you lose a ton of FPS

No, unless you mean installing custom texture packs or "ENBs" in which case it will vary by game

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Thanks man for answering

And i saw some banding but didn't notice any strange color and i set bit depth to 32 bit

And i have a very good pc and i was asking if anything i could do after increasing the texture and detail leve to maximum so i could get more than what the game was designed for.

I am gettong 30fps something in 2k and fix 60fps in 1366×768 resolution.

Thanks

I can't explain the muted colours then, never heard of that issue when using custom res.

Once you're running max settings, there's only so much you can do.  Make sure you have a good resolution and frame rate of course, higher the better for both.  Maybe get into VR or something.  Or, like I said, I guess depending on the game you could try pushing graphics beyond max with mods, but that's about it.  Not sure how else you can improve your experience.
