how do i go about attaching these to the headers in the motherboard? do i just cut up some old power reset cables i pulled from cases and solder them to the new switches?

pretty much,if you dont have a soldering iron you can just twist them together and wrap them in tape

So i got my power and reset switches worked out on what i want to buy. but not sure how to go about it.

will be buying these locally as ive seen and held these in the store but the staff didnt give much help, must have had a bad day idk.

That is a temporary solution at best if you cant solder get a crimper and crimp connectors to the wires coming from the mobo.

Going to get some cheap eBay front io cables and then just heatshrink and sleeve the wire after soldering it to the button.
