What's more important gsync or IPS

For a second monitor to do some shooting games (144hz)

Using a 1080ti

gsync is gimmicky, only usefull if you are underperforming, but the ULMB that comes with it is good always.

If you are currently using an IPS, keep it that way, If you are using TN, you wont notice the problem.

so it depends on your specs ,what specific monitors you are looking for and what screen you have been using

Currently have the x34

I want a second monitor for first person shooters and YouTube/twitch 

Overwatch pub quake

I would use my x34 for more immersive games and not competitive shooters

If its 144hz, I would go IPS. G-Sync is nice for competitive shooters but not as helpful on high refresh rate monitors.
