Hello everyone,

(This is my first post, so I hoped I posted this in the right thread)

I just wanted to get feedback on a new build that I was planning on getting (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NhKKD8). I originally wanted to get the RX580 but seeing as it is out of stock everywhere along with the RX570, I decided to go with the GTX 1060 3GB. I also plan on maybe getting the Deepcool Captain 240 down the line. I will be running dual monitors with this; however, I do not plan on doing any overclocking.

Any feedback on the build is appreciated, thanks!

I do recommend switching the GPU out for this https://pcpartpicker.com/product/tJyxFT/evga-geforce-gtx-1060-6gb-sc-gaming-video-card-06g-p4-6163-kr, and I am pretty sure most of the other people here do too.

That white color scheme will look :fire:

You should 100% add a 250GB SSD for your OS. No doubts in my mind!

You really don't need the 6GB of VRAM...

*unless you're playing in anything above 1080p*

A GTX 1060? Made for 1080p maxed settings? 1080p maxed settings on most games use up well over 3gb and sometimes even 4gb of VRAM. Spending a little extra to make sure it is still relevant in a years time is well worth the extra 50 bucks.

Games are starting to use more VRAM even at 1080P so it's better to get a GPU with lot's of VRAM these days.

Eh maybe in 18 months from now, the extra VRAM will be pretty important so maybe you're right actually

Okay so, get the 1060 6GB, and an SSD. I do have one more question. Is it alright that I'm using the stock cooler that comes with the 1600? Or do I have to invest in an aftermarket CPU cooler?

Not really, but if you ever do get an aftermarket cooler, get the Scythe Ashura.
