Hi,

I would like to learn how to 3D model for 3D printing. I have always wanted to print something that I have made. Unfortunately, I am absolutely clueless in this area. I am asking for help finding a program that is intuitive and easy(ish) for beginners to learn. Also, I am taking this up as a hobby and I would prefer to not spend any money on this until I am confident in my abilities. So, I would very much appreciate a free program that I can play around with for the time being.

Thank you,

JT

SketchUp is somewhat intuitive and easy to use (free for the basic version which is plenty), but there is also Blender if you want to be able to do a whole lot more. Point of entry and learning curve is much higher though (it's a completely free, open source, program, with a lot of plugins, both paid and free).
