So I got a network switch recently and when I connect from the router to the switch into my pc it does not have network access. I have tried releasing and renewing but it gets errors for some reason. plas help meh I don't knuw network

Yea it just says that there is no network connection. Also says its an unidentified network. I ran the troubleshooter and it said that there was not a valid Ip configuration. I do have DHCP on

no. I have an airport extreme so IDK if this will make a difference.

Try disabling auto DHCP and set your own static lan ip

1. Go to network and sharing center 

2. Click The Connection next to Connection

4. Select the IPv4, and click properties

5. Choose 'Use the following' for both. You can enter the same DNS I did (google's dns). Mine starts with 10.0.0 cause my router's gateway is that, but some are 192.168.0, just make sure you set your IP to one that isn't taken, and the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0
