Brand compatability?

Hi, all.

I am planning a new computer build, and I was wondering if "brand compatability" between graphics card and motherboard was a thing? Like, would an ASUS card and ASUS motherboard be more compatible than an Aorus card and ASUS motherboard, or does it all come down to the GPU in the card?

Any motherboard will take any GPU.

Why would it be? Reference/"Founders" cards are literally the same exact thing with a manufacturer sticker slapped on.

 

I plan on slapping an MSI card on an Asrock board powered by an EVGA psu with an AMD chip powering it loooool
