6600k OC

my 6600k is running at 4.7ghz stable at 1.275v with temps maxing at 60c while gaming.

is this good OC?

i tried pushing it 4.8 with the same voltage and crashed on boot, I stop there, didn't try adding some more voltage in it.

A 6600k above 4.6 is pretty uncommon so if that's a 6600k (not to be confused with a 7600k) then that is indeed winning the silicon lottery. You are also well within Skylake's safe voltage range so if it were me I'd push higher @ 1.3V

You could potentially even sell that back for a profit to the right person lol. My 6700k doesn't even like an overclock like that.

#GoldenChip. You are below 1.3 underload which looks like some v droop. Put load line calibration on to counteract V droop.  Try 1.32V, LLC on and 4.9

 

FYI skylake safe daily voltage is 1.35V so anything below is fine.

 

btw what is your cooler?
