so my pc wont turn on and ive gone to trouble shooting forum place and got some help but I wont be there for about 8 more hours to see whats wrong with it people have said its possibly psu that died even tho I built it on my bday ((may 26th))or a mobo thing... I asked my friend if he has any idea last night and he responded with "unplug it from the psu and the outlet for a few mins then plug it back in it worked with my friend" does this actually work?

could work but it wont fix it if something is broken and seeing as you previously described a tapping sound i would assume something is

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...
