Delidding my 6700k, need some advice

So I just built my first watercooling loop. On stress tests im getting about 40 deg on the GPU and 50-55 deg on the CPU, im hoping to bring down the CPU temps a bit by delidding.

I've ordered a rockit 88 kit, and want some advice on the following:

-Thermal grizzly conductonaut or Liquid Ultra or Something else?

-Relid or go loose lid and just use the retention bracket to hold it on?

-Should I use liquid metal between my IHS and my block or normal thermal paste? (My block is nickel plated copper, EK Supremacy EVO)

-Anything I need to be wary or cautious of while delidding?

I got a rockit 88 too, and it worked fine for me on a 6700k and 6600k. I went non-glue relid. Just pop the lid back on and hold it in place by the socket mechanism. For paste... I just received conductonaut but not used it yet. CLU was my original choice but I saw a report that it can go crusty after some years. I haven't seen same about conductonaut. I personally will only use it under the lid, and stick to regular paste over.
