You should take a look at the asus zenwatch 3:

Right in your budget ;)

 

I owned the first version and it worked great !!!    You should maybe wait to see if Android Wear 2.0 will get released on it before buying though.

Asus announced it a while ago, but it didn't get released yet. They have a tendency to do that, announce "in the first quarter", don't release, than ignore the customer's questions regarding it........

What do u think of gear s2 it's available for 179 on Amazon and is right in my budget....

I'd recommend zenwatch 3 also, I'm getting it in a few days and it runs Android Wear so better app compatibility than the gears... It's just that Asus discontinued the zenwatch line so if they end up not bringing aw 3 you could try custom ROM

I never used one, but here are my personal impressions about it:

 

- Style isn't really in my tastes. I find it a little too "Hey look! I have a smart watch!!"

- They use a custom software as far as I know, so it doesn't mean all functionnalities will be available for other phones than samsung's.

 

Other than that I don't really know as I never saw one or used one.....
