PC doesen't work

Hello, i wanted to fix my Dad's old PC, but the Problem is:

- I can't get the Screen to Run ( I plugged in HDMI, because i dont have another Cable )

- I can't connect the Keyboard ( im not sure about that one, but i cant even get the NumLock to show up )

Fans are Spinning.

I tried plugging in a mAh / Volt tester and it got Power

Its a Pre-Build System so all i can get is:

-CPU:                 Intel Core 2 Duo

-RAM:                 4x1GB PC2-5300U-555

-GraphicsCard:   GeForce 9500 GS

-PSU                   Be Quiet 350W

Please provide more details, because at this point I have next to no clue what component to blame. It could be the motherboard, the CPU, or essentially any component.

I suck a typing, preparw for typos.

well, does it use integrated graphics? is it intel or AMD, Sounds like something to do with the motherboard or CPU might be dead.

Yours faithfully

it also can be ram. And how old is this? If this is older than 2007 there can be integrated graphics on motherboard that is dead.

it has a seperate Graphics Card, so Intel Core 2 Duo and a unknown graphics Card

Hmm, sounds like the Motherboard might be dead, since the north bridge handles PCI/PCIe/AGP and the southbridge would be responsible for USB and PS2 and such, so either of those go it's dead, could also be a CPU or CPU support system failure, Look for a 2nd hand LGA 1156 or LGA1155 system really, you can get low end and OEM ones cheap, not really worth fixing the system, but try to get the HDD out as data is on it.

Yours faithfully

That is really strange, especially if there is power going through the ports and fans are spinning. I would probably have a bet that it is a dead motherboard also.
