Hello.

In the Internet i found someting found that's Called "NVME SSD".

Now, i also wanna put this on my new PC list.

but online i can't find any good NVME SSD Guide.

My Question is :

Can i Put any M.2 SSD into an NVME PCI-E Adapter?

Does it needs any type of Molex Plug or someting like that ?

Thank you for Help,

Benny.

You can only put M.2 SSDs into M.2 slots, there are also different variants of M.2 so be careful when purchasing and also remember to check that the motherboard has a compatible M.2 slot for your SSD.

Here's an article that goes into depth about the different types https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2015/02/understanding-m-2-the-interface-that-will-speed-up-your-next-ssd/

And no, M.2 SSDs are powered through the motherboard and don't need any other power connection.

I suck a typing, preparw for typos.

I ment, NVME SSD's.

That SSDs that you can put into an PCI-E Slot Via an Adapter.

After reading your last thread that you want to build a gaming PC, you won't need nvme speeds from your ssd, they don't really help with gaming and aren't worth the cost.

I just was interessted by the fact that these Adapters arent's expensive.

And if i could Put any M.2 SSD into this adapter, why not ?

Personally, I wouldn't recommend it as the M.2 slots are made to handle the maximum speed of the SSD and giving it more lanes isn't really going to improve performance.

Unless if you mean the native slot PCIE SSDs, but again they're not really worth it as they draw much more power and output lots of heat. Sometimes even throttling performance to handle with the heat being output. A simple M.2 is more than enough.

Right. I ment that type.

I think, i will go with a normal M.2 SSD. Thank you !

You should just get a normal 2.5" SATA SSD if you're on a budget, as you won't experience any slower boot times or load times. SATA SSDs are also generally cheaper

Hm. Here in Germany, the M.2 SSD's are not more expensive than normal SSD's (at least the 120 GB one's).

I will look for an M.2 SSD but there aren't many M.2 SSD's for the Prime B350+.

Maybe, i will go with an normal SATA SSD.

Thank you !
