@klip For a better cooler, use a Cryorig H7 with the separately available AM4 mounting kit.

That's if you have a bad kit. You can run DDR3 at like 1.7V without heatspreaders with no issues for a few years without them dying.

Wow. I runned mine on 1.5V (Kingston HyperX Fury Black) on 2400 MHz. Board was GA-A75M-UD2H and CPU was A8-3870k
