They will overheat and die only if you use custom waterloop then you can overclock it.

Ok thanks for info. I overclocked my DDR3 kit like 3-5 months ago and it died in 2 days.

That's if you have a bad kit. You can run DDR3 at like 1.7V without heatspreaders with no issues for a few years without them dying.

Wow. I runned mine on 1.5V (Kingston HyperX Fury Black) on 2400 MHz. Board was GA-A75M-UD2H and CPU was A8-3870k

Change the PSU. You have quite a bit of money invested in your other components that all rely on power, get the same wattage but a PSU that is 80 + Gold certified. A good PSU goes a long way.
