you could save some money and step down to a 600-ish watt PSU, as that would be sufficient for this.

if you want to SLI in the future tough this PSU should work out great!

You can get away with half or third of your budget into a system that'll last you a few years...

surely it will mean faster boot speeds and just general speeds. you say you want a rig for the future, so faster drives seem like a good option.

well no, there is no difference in gaming and the boot time will be 2sec more which is not that improtant

it just seems that for a rig meant to be "future proof" you would want a better storage solution. Have you considered raid?

Just my opinion, but i think it might be worth having a look at some other options for storage. If this is for games, a larger ssd might be nice, because of the increasing size of games. Also, if you are spending this much money, it seems reasonable to have better than just an 850 evo. Also redundancy with raid.

Agree with this. If the motherboard supports it, two m.2 drives (2x500gb for example) would be perfect for a speedy system plus enough space for games. Plus, no cabling required. Once you need more space you could get a regular ssd. No more noisy HDDs.
