Hello,

I am in the middle of my first build. I am having trouble to understand how to connect the Power Switch and Power Led cables of my Fractal Design Node 202 to my X370GTN motherboard.

The motherboard has way more pins than the cables, and the instructions are not clear enough and I cannot understand to which pins the cables belong to.

Can someone provide help?

Pics below.

Orientation does matter but if your PC doens't start switch the POWER SW pins around. TBH it doesn't really matter as nobody uses the reset switch and LED is sometimes even annoying.

You would think Ubisoft would support the Bulldozer based architectures more given their digging themed names like bulldozer, Piledriver, Steamroller and Excavator.

Thanks. My case does not have a reset switch, and using only a SSD, I guess it's normal that I do not have the HDD led cables either.

The power leds are only 2, which one do I leave empty?

Also, bonus question. My case and mobo didn't come with stand-offs, but it looks like the case has pre-built stand-offs as the 4 points where I had to put the mobo screws were about 4mm above the case panel. Is this correct?

@Eibe If it's elevated over the tray it's *probably* fine, but you don't want to risk something like that if you don't know 'for sure'.  A picture of the mount points on that case/tray would be quite helpful.

Also, SSDs will trigger the HDD Activity light *IF* they're PATA or SATA, it's my understanding that m.2 don't natively cause the HDD Activity light.  Honestly, it's been so long since I cared about that LED that I haven't noticed if mine triggers.

Then I guess I do not have to use them because I have no cables for them apparently.

Here is a pic I got from Google, didn't take it from my case as the mobo is already screwed in.

Also, I can't see mounting stand-offs as an action displayed on the case instructions: https://s3.amazonaws.com/cdn.freshdesk.com/data/helpdesk/attachments/production/4014864227/original/blob1434615888699.jpeg?1434615889

EDIT: Do you know which of the 3 pins I should leave blank of the Power LEDs?

I have currently attached the Power LED pins like this:

Anyone knows if it's ok?

EDIT: The 4 pins are now all attached together, as I didn't like the right-most ping bending like that.

The instructions say that the pins are the following: P_SW_Ground, P_SW, P_LED_-, P_LED_+, P_LED_+. So basically I have attached the first two (from the left), which are the Power Switch ones, the attached the Power Led Negative to the central one, and the power led positive to the right one, and left the second power led positive empty.

Bump - sorry for bumping but I have everything finished and waiting only to see if my Power LED cables are OK to go before trying the first POST.
