Asus Rog, not that I am a fanboy but I am a realist who look at professional benchmarks to validate my claims, not judging from non professional experience

Asus Rog load temps: 68 (tpu)

https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/GTX_1080_STRIX/28.html

Noise load: 33 (tpu) https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/GTX_1080_STRIX/23.html

Zotac Amp Extreme load temps: 74 (tpu) https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Zotac/GeForce_GTX_1080_Amp_Extreme/33.html

Noise load: 29 (tpu) https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Zotac/GeForce_GTX_1080_Amp_Extreme/28.html

Asus Rog temp load: 67 (guru3d), http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/asus_rog_strix_geforce_gtx_1080_review,9.html

Noise load: 40 http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/asus_rog_strix_geforce_gtx_1080_review,11.html

Zotac Amp Extreme load temps: 73 (guru3d) http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/zotac_geforce_gtx_1080_amp_extreme_review,9.html

Noise load: 38 http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/zotac_geforce_gtx_1080_amp_extreme_review,11.html

So you gain a tiny bit of noise for a much better temps on Asus ROG Strix

Hello,
i have seen other posts but none have satisfied my need to know why one is better than the other. I am looking to buy one of them and although the Asus card fits nicely with my pc color scheme(black and white) i have seen a lot of support for the Zotac card. I am going to use it for gaming ofcourse and would like to know which games better. Sure the Asus one can OC more than Zotac but Zotac can cool itself so silently and efficiently you won't even notice. So please give an argumented opinion why choose one or another for gaming. Also what Psu (650w or 750w) to choose with i7 6700k ,ddr4 3000mhz and Corsair h100. Thanks very much.

I've got the Rog Strix 1080 personally, and it's an amazing card

super quiet, overclocks well, and stays under 70 degrees under load at 2038 mhz core.

plus, the lighting is tasteful
