Sandy Bridge availability?

Does anyone know of any place that still has Sandy Bridge CPUs and MoBos in stock? Preferrably in Europe but doesn't matter too much.

My PC CPU: 2600K@4.5GHz 1.3v Cooler: Noctua NH-U12P SE2 MB: ASUS Maximus IV RAM: Kingston 1600MHz 8GB & Corsair 1600MHz 16GB GPU: 780Ti Storage: Samsung 850 Evo 500GB SSD, Samsung 830 256GB SSD, Kingston 128GB SSD, WD Black 1TB,WD Green 1TB. Any particular reason?  Because of lower prices?

Hypervisor 1: Intel Xeon E5-2630L, ASRock EPC612D8, 16GB DDR4 ECC RAM, Intel RT3WB080 8-port RAID controller plus expansion card, Norco RPC-4020 case, 20x2TB WD Red HDD

Other spare hypervisors: Dell Poweredge 2950, HP Proliant DL380 G5

Laptops: ThinkPads, lots of ThinkPads

Could you specify a bit more where you would be buying from and what kind of CPUs/motherboards you're looking for? Also, why sandy bridge? Wouldn't something newer (so with better support in the future) and slightly higher performance be a better option?

Because they OC better than Ivy or Haswell.

 

Could you specify a bit more where you would be buying from and what kind of CPUs/motherboards you're looking for? Also, why sandy bridge? Wouldn't something newer (so with better support in the future) and slightly higher performance be a better option?

Buying from where ever they are available, and motherboard with good VRMs and preferrably an i7 unlocked cpu 2600K/2700K, but I guess 2500K will do if nothing else is available.

Just to muck around with :) hoping to get a good deal on some parts and since I have a TEC chip, I can try going sub-zero ^.^

sounds good  :P i will do the same thing, but in a few years. am2+/1366 are suppose the best oc'ing platforms. 1155 is boring, but you do get loads of mhz with not much cooling! thats why i went with sandy over ivy and haswell it's cheaper and i likes all the mhz. the 2550k is quite interesting as well because nobody has one!

350€ for a 2600k is a bit too much for me :P

 

Or get an i7 980 / 990 for ALL THE MEGAHERTZ.

Here aswell (Never heard of that website though, can't tell you if they are legit or not - reviews seem to suggest they're fine but worth doing some more checking).

 

Deal extreme is reliable! I've bought tons of stuff from there. It just takes a month to get your stuff since they ship everything from China/Hong Kong
