Cause you need airflow out of your case ?

Yep. Pretty much. This will go in a mining rig that will be bought in about 2 months. Don't want all of that heat in the case :D

Also, are there any 7950's that aren't on Ebay? I am sure that there is nothing wrong with them. But... you can't be too careful.

What you do is you look at the item description, then at the photos, then you ask questions to the seller. When was the item bought, how was the item used, was it overclocked, are there any defects I should know of, is the warranty still available, can you include original receipt, ..............

When you receive it, you test it. If there is anything wrong with it that isn't disclosed in description, photos or seller's answers, you return it and get refunded (be sure seller has a return policy). If anything goes wrong dealing with seller, paypal covers your purchase.

Ebay is the way to go. Monitor auctions and get items in good condition cheaper and with safety of mind.

Spoiler

XFX makes a reference card

EDITED FOR A LINK

That is a single fan open air card, notice how the bottom is open. That will dump air back into the case! You really need to buy reference cards when they are launched, otherwise you're kinda sol (ESPECIALLY now because 7950s are dying out). Your best bet is ebay tbh, best of luck with your mining endeavors! :) @TheDoubleYGamer

Edit-

Guys please, to all of you posting the xfx 7950s, those are still open air cards! They just have one fan.

CPU Overclocking Database <------- Over 275 submissions, and over 40,000 views!

GPU Overclocking Database
