Ok guys, need some help.

I'm going from one extreme to the other as you can see from my current case.

I want to know which one to go for as i can't make my mind up, its going to be all my current hardware apart from m/board which will be the Asus Z87I Professional ITX, (will get a H100i at some point).

I love both cases but as it stands my gpu can get very hot at times, throttling at 69 degrees i have a fan curve set up so in my current case does not go above 67 degrees.

I'm lost as to which case will give best cooling but still look the nuts.

Please give me suggestions!!

If you want the coolest case I would actually go for a HAF series/932 case from Cooler Master… It/they are primarily made out of mesh should give you the best airflow :)

Or perhaps a Corsair Carbide 540 air if you like cube cases ^^

I would go with the Prodigy, however, if you find an Ncase M1 on ebay or something, take that without hesitation.

Hmmm, mixed reviews, thanks for the advice on the other cases however i am quite fixed on the two bitfenix cases.

I'm told the meshed side panel for the prodigy will fit the phenom, do you think that would give adequete airflow with a 230mm fan in the front of the chassis?

I really like both cases but some people have said the prodigy stands very flimsy on the bottom feet/handles, can anyone confim this?

@Th3Architect, I joined the fourms just to chime in on this, actually. ^^

I don't know how useful I'm going to be, given how this thread is a bit old,

In terms of airflow, especially if your graphics card suffers from heat, then the perforated side panel on the Prodigy should help with that problem.

That having been said, I'd say that you might want to check out the Phenom M. The 230mm intake has been moved to the bottom of the case, freeing it of the restrictive front pannel intake (though this is the same in the Prodigy M). This intake blows air right over the CPU , which, with a H100i, would provide a direct line for fresh air onto your GPU.

Using an mITX mobo with this case is probably desirable anyway, given how the top expansion slot blocks off the 2x120mm intake.

Ultimately though, using either -M case isn't optimal if you have to use 3.5" drives. The Phenom M has one space for them, in the unused 5.25" bay, but it is a potential deal breaker.

Hopefully I was at least a little helpful! :x

Best,

Pukka

if staying on air-cooled, the prodigy would fair best. going water cooling ,the phenom or prodigy.

Thanks for the advice mate, ended up going with the standard ITX Prodigy case with a 200mm spectre pro in the front, I'm getting great temps on my cpu really surprised, i'm hitting 4.4ghz on adaptive voltage cap of 1.224v and getting idle temps of about 28 average and 70 tops in aida 64, did not expect those temps!

As for the gfx card well i decided it was too loud to have the fan curve in performance mode and ended up taking a 13mhz hit on performance and opted for the quiet curve, really want to replace that card really, but thats a topic for another day, thanks again!

My pleasure @TheArchitect, I'm glad that I was able to help you a bit! I'm thinking of picking up that case for a build that's been tumbling around in my head. Do you have any thoughts on the way that the PSU is managed, in terms of length? I'm very much interested in it. :o

Hey sorry for the slow reply been pretty busy...Well i did A LOT of researching with regards to the PSU as i was unsure what to go for, i ended up buying a new PSU (keeping my CX600 for a NAS build) and opted for the Seasonic G750 Gold, it's a fantastic Power supply and fit very perfectly in the case.
