Cooling or CPU problem ?

Bingbing10

Really struggling and would appreciate some help .

Everytime I boot up my pc it starts fine but then after about a min of being on it shuts down because of high temperatures . I've got a cooker master single fan AIO water cooler on my Fx -8350 . I've tried replacing the thermal paste and  then sometimes it works for a couple of days but then seems to just go back to the same issue ?

Is it something wrong with my Cpu or cooler or how I apply my Thermal paste etc ( btw pc was running fine for like a year and a half before this occurred .

The blue light on my cooler is on when the pc is on ( so don't know if it's possibly a pump issue or not !)

dead pump for sure, thats why it doesnt overheat instantly, but the liquid behind the coldplate will just get hotter and hotter till it cant cool the cpu anymore

Yeah, sounds like the pump to me. How long have you had it? I believe most of cooler masters AIO have a 2 year warranty so RMA it.

Please quote my post, or put @paddy-stone if you want me to respond to you.

he probably has it longer already. IF you can fit it, the Arctic liquid freezer 120 isnt expensive and can outperform 240mm AIOs as well and its not expensive

He didn't mention how long he had had it, just that it had ran fine for like a year and a half... so worth seeing if it's still under warranty for sure. I do agree about the choice of replacement though, unless he can get another 240 cheap, and has good reviews of course.
