Mini DV Conversion

I have some old Mini DV cassettes that I wanna burn into DVDs. Sadly, the Sony video camera that I used to record the footage, is no longer operational. So, please recommend hardware/programs that I can use to convert them to DVDs.

I don't think there's any other way than getting working camera. Then you should be able to rip cassettes with Firewire or A/V output to burning DVD player etc.

Rent a working camcorder and a DVD recorder (preferably Analogue) and copy them over

Otherwise, you could send them off to some place. I'm sure there is a service somewhere that'll do it for you.

Compatible with Windows 95

I was thinking of getting one of those Mini DV Cassette Players, and then hook them unto my computer and capture them using the Roxio software! Is that a sensible solution?
