Nvidia driver update bricked GPU?

So what happened is my cousin has a gtx960 in his system, and the nvidia experience had nagged him to update his driver.  He did and then called me when he said the driver would crash and the screen would freeze after launching an application.  It got worse to the point it would freeze the display at the windows loading screen.  I went over and tried to get it to be "not fucked up enough" for 5 minutes and successfully reverted the driver, but now the problem persists.  I really at the end of what I know how to do, and there's nothing I can find online to help.

uninstall the drivers with DDU and install again. If that doesn't work reinstall Windows

Well the issue is now that the display doesnt "display" for more than 2-3 minutes at a time. I cant install/uninstall anything because there's no video.  He also has an fx cpu so theres no igpu to use in the meantime

then he is straight boned only option is remote access or a format  of the HDD with another PC.

Slap a different GPU in there to access the desktop and uninstall the graphics drivers down to basic if you can, if you cant do that try spamming DEL when you start up the system and see if you can boot windows in the mode where it only uses necessary drivers, maybe you can get around the GPU updates faulty drivers that way

I've tried to boot into safe mode, it freezes on the part where it shows all the drives being loaded. Also I dont have another gpu to throw in there
