So I'm looking to most likely upgrade to Ryzen 5, with a budget of around £340. Currently running on FM2 with an A8 6600K, and I'll have to upgrade RAM too.

I'm keeping basically everything else, I have an MSI 380 4G GPU with a Corsair CX550M PSU.

Right now, I was looking at buying the following:

Ryzen 5 1500X

MSI B350M

Ballistix Sport 8GB

Would this be an optimal upgrade at my budget, or should I try for something else?

ram could be an issue, idk what games you play, but when i'm gaming i can easily use up 8 gb or more. can you budget for 2x8gb sticks?

I had considered this, but I'm also budgeting for a £30 case, and I can't really go lower than that for the case. 8GB has served me well on my current build, which is why I went for it again.

Also, I run 2 1080p monitors currently, how much of an impact would that have on performance?

wish i could help you with that, but I've always had a one monitor setup. Maybe someone else could help with that question. the r9 380 seems like a pretty capable card. It would mostly depend what your running on it.
