The overvoltage protection I believe is for incoming AC voltage from the wall. Not so useful for outgoing DC voltage from the PSU.

Do try though. Hopefully nothing is damaged (aside from the motherboard fan headers...those I think are dead...at least CHA1 should be)

Wait should i do the paper clip trick with my fans but not the legacy power on the mobo

Well, happy to hear the fans are still alive.

Yeah, use PCIe x16 for GPU.

So does the PC work now?

Well, I think the motherboard is probably shot...

It's hard to tell what's bad without at least replacing the PSU...or checking another board.

The novo has lights thought, I tested the psu with a voltage meters and idk if it was right but almost all got close to 0 power also my chipset was getting really hot so i just stopped but the fans work It did boot for a few seconds 2 times but now it doesn't

Hmm, you should be getting 12, 5, and 3.3v DC from the PSU...otherwise nothing would be on. I'm a bit worried at the chipset getting hot...

Yeah, it's kind of hard to tell what's dead without replacing something first...

Hope they replace it...since technically it was your fault that probably killed it (by plugging floppy power connector to motherboard fan header)
