Oneplus 3T screen crack

Hey,

Im thinking of buying a oneplus 3T, wondering if anyone has owned one and had the screen break on it.

My oneplus one screen broke today and the phone stopped responding to touch entirely.

Ive previously owned samsung phones that would keep working without problems even with the screen completely shattered and parts of the glass missing.

I want to know whether the oneplus 3T screen/touch keeps working after the glass breaks, or if it stops responding.

I tend to break my screen at least once over the lifetime of a phone and want my phone to remain functional even with a cracked screen.

if anyone has any experience with this it would be greatly appreciated.

Can't give ya any input. I'm sure it depends on the severity of the crack. I suggest using a case or being a bit more careful?

If the screen doesn't respond, it means that the underlying layers under the glass. (digitizer, etc.) broke.

any phone will still be responsive after a normal glass crack, but if the crack goes deeper, and breaks the touch sensors, then every phone can stop working.

That's not an issue of the phones design, but how you broke it. All phones will do the same thing.

thanks for the input everyone.

Im wondering though, the crack is barely visible and not very big, but half the phones screen stopped working.

meanwhile a samsung phone (a much older model) i owned had part of the screen missing, showing the internals of the phone, but everything still worked fine, how can that be?
Not saying you are all wrong or anything, just trying to make sense of it all, im not very good with this sort of stuff.

It just happened to crack or hit in a certain way. Thats why some people can drop their phone from several feet up and not have an issue while other throw a pen on their phone from a foot away and it cracks the screen.
