Windows keeps crashing

CALBIX

Hi guys.

I cleaned my pc and rebuilt the whole thing, all was running good until my games started crashing, soon after I got a blue screen and It was graphics card related.

I went and unplugged my graphics card uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and now Im getting blue screens like "IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL"/"SYSTEM SERVICE EXPECTATION".

I tried every fix guide there is.

IRQL errors are generally the worst - so gz. on that. in order of what MIGHT help:

1. Update Bios

2. Run the RIG without GPU

3. Make sure your PSU delivers enough power

4. fresh clean install of windows

5. don't forget chipset drivers

6. run the rig without GPU for some time

7. install GPU (also check for a bios update of the GPU)

8. remove all but one RAM stick

9. pray

Yes, much work indeed.  But it's the only way really.  A refresh or rolling back to an older restore point rarely ever does the job properly, there's always junk left.

Besides, a fresh install is never a bad idea.  It cleans out the registry better than any registry cleaner can, and also gets rid of all the other mess that Windows creates over time.

in their defense though, it got way better with windows 10 compared to xp/vista. oh boy, I just defended MS, that was a first...
