I go into my BIOS and turn it the fuck up(OC), but when i check DxDiag and properties on computer it just shows 3.5/3.4~ GHz  (still shows its overclocked in bios?)

I got a MSI Z170A m5, I5 6600k, so overclocking should not be a problem.

Why isnt it working? and yes I did save it

Did you save your Bios settings. If so try another piece of software to see if that recognises the OC

checked with cinebench, also says 3,4, could it be a problem with the OS?

Use CPU-Z. Cinebench doesn't read your actual frequency

As others have said, use CPU-Z. Also you can view it in the Task Manager. They should both look something like what I have posted.

i5 6600k @ 4.4ghz on Hyper 212 Evo

Powercolor RX 480 8Gb Red Devil @1330Mhz

Bottom line:  Don't be a spaz or an 800lb gorilla when installing your expensive CPU, and you won't have any problems. --Phate.exe

On CPU-Z its 3.9 GHz, windows says 3.37 GHz :/

Sounds like the OC isn't wanting to stick at all. Watch a guide for your board and you should be able to figure it out. Might be one setting that is causing it that you have overlooked.
