AMD vs. nVidia for Oculus Rift

I'm buying a used GPU soon-ish, and I want to get the consumer version of Oculus when it launches (depending on price). I want to know if I should get an AMD or nVidia GPU.

nVidia from what I know is better with 3D.

AMD will give me more performance/€ and has better multimonitor drivers, but I don't want to get it if it will have issues with Oculus.

I can't afford selling the GPU I will buy and getting a different one.

It doesn't matter, the GPU sees the Oculous as a normal 1080p monitor, the game and the headsets do all the changing up.

That's great! That means I can get an AMD card that I wanted.

The retail kit will have 1080p

the only difference would be mantle from amd

or if you want to record with very little performance drop nvidia

 

also, i would wait for VR from valve... might be interesting. i mean, we dont even know release date for rift, we get info about ValveVR next year.

Nvidia G-sync was very not subtly hinted at in the G-sync press event. So....

 

However, for the first generation of Oculus, no difference.
