So i build 2 rigs yesterday for 2 different friends of the following specs:

CPU = Ryzen 5 1500x
Mobo = Asus B350M-A

Ram = G.skill Ripjaws 2400Mhz

GPU = G1 Gaming GTX 1080

HDD = WD blue 1TB

SSD = Samsung 850 Evo 240 GB

PSU = Corsair CX 650

So problem for friend 1 :

After setting up his system it ran well, but the next day it started performing quite badly game wise and was getting about 150 fps on csgo WIth the gtx 1080 when he was getting 300+ the day before. SO he attempted to restore his system but now windows set up is stuck and says ' something went wrong' and every time it retries it gets stuck again. Ive tried resetting the cmos as well but it doesnt work.

So Friend 2:

Problem 1: CSGO cannot alt tab or else will crash. May crash ingame sometimes too.

Problem 2: Occasionally Monitor, keyboard, Mouse all lose connection to PC. Need restart PC.

Its a brand new system and we bought everything brand new and i was really shocked that there were this many problems. Note that everything was running at stock speeds for CPU,Ram and GPU and had not been overclocked. It would be great if someone could help!

Thanks.

for PC 2-

apart from clearing BIOS as you've tried for PC 1 to try fix problem 2, you could try reinstalling the drivers for the cards

as for problem 1, dunno haven't played CSGO so dinny know how to fix that

for PC 1-

try a fresh install of windows to fix that and make sure correct drivers are installed, also unless PC1 has a 200Hz monitor, I doubt 150Hz is a problem, cause I would imagine the screens actually 120/144Hz

well it's impossible to see the difference between 300 fps and 150 fps then. That being said yes it anit optimal but still that's life. Look into CSGO settings maybe something was changed there
