Hi guys,

I'm thinking of getting this:

http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/acer-aspire-e1-570-15-6-laptop-21732510-pdt.html

I would want to upgrade the RAM in the future, and Intel state that the i5-3337u can only support 1600mhz. Is this truly the case? Or is it comparable to Desktop processors, where you can run higher speed RAM than what Intel state. So, in this case, I would want to run 1800mhz+ RAM. This would be beneficial for IGP and Ramdisk performance.

Appreciate the feedback,

Matt

It's unlikely that a low end laptop like that will be able to support RAM that's any faster than whet it comes with. Laptops are different in many area's and RAM is one of them.
