I got watchdogs 2 on release but I haven't really been able to play it much with school and then getting a job after graduating, but I tried to play it a few days ago and it would freeze really hard and I got a notification that I needed to add more ram. I thought 8gb was more than enough for games because I've never had this problem before. I'll buy more if needed, but if it's something else then I'd rather fix it.

Well I closed all the applications on my computer and ran the task manager where I could monitor it and it didn't seen to change anything. Just showed it maxed out. I have a new graphics card and monitor on the way so I'll just order some more ram and see if that solves the problem. Thank you guys.

Just keep usage by other things down and you'll probably be fine.

Are you opening too many tabs? I even being commanded by my phone to clear ram that has 4 background applications running and 8 tabs open in max of 20 (I don't want to go over that)

It's:

- Heavy chrometab addiction

- Refusal to close down things if I'm going to be using them in the next couple days

- Having minecraft modpacks sometimes eat 6GB or 8GB, and wanting to leave them open in the background while running another ram-heavy game

- Running virtual machines every now and then

- Occasionally faffing around with ramdisks

- Occasional memory leaks in things I run

Sig under construction.

I agree.  I play games on my main PC and don't max above 12GB in some of the harshest settings.  My Plex server doesn't hit anywhere above 16GB when transcoding for even a dozen streams.  And the only time I come close to that amount is on my work machine when I'm doing my coding, using Adobe AE, and similar applications
