I prefer twist ties for wires that I will be moving regularly like SATA or PCIe.

I wouldn't use them on thin wires or stuff that won't move around a lot, like PSU cables and the case IO cables. For peripherals it's fine, but generally you should use zip ties wherever you know you won't move those cables around.
