I bought the mobo and so far im set on the 6600k but was told i should probably get a 6700k. I was also told the psu was awful.

Please tell me what you think. Trying to spend under 800 but dont mind going over just a little bit. Im gonna play games like Tom Clancy games, Cod, Battlegrounds, Battlefield, CSGO, Steam Games, etc. I also dont have like a good monitor right now (just a 1080p tv) but plan on getting after i decide the gpu. Speaking of, i have been debating on the 580 8gb or the 1060 6gb. I want to make some gameplay videos that are basically full games and very small editing and was advised to get a 6700k and then a 3gb 1060.

Right now i just want some opinions on what i should that involves that motherboard.

The PSU is great.

IF you already have the motherboard, go for the best you can afford. if you can, an i7 would definitely be preferable.

580 8GB is a bit better than the 1060, but the AMD GPU shortage is in full effect right now, so if you can't find one cheaper than a 1060, just go for the 1060

i5 is decent, but I honestly wouldnt recommend it because most newer games run better with more cores and threads in terms of minimums and frames percentiles. Try to get at least an i7 6700 non k if possible or if u are willing to, return z170 and get r5 1600 instead.

The 1400 isnt a bad buy if you were planning on an i7. Especially considering that more cores=worse gaming performance (cant recall gaming performance off the top of my head)

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

Nice, I love all the parts (especially the amazing PSU)
