Hello!

My friend helped me put this build together, but suggested I post it here for some further help.

I'm looking to build a PC for both gaming and media creation (primarily 2D like photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, etc., though I also would like to be able to use Blender for some low- to mid-poly modeling). Gaming wise I would like to be able to run Overwatch at Ultra settings with 60-70 fps at least as a goal. I would also like to keep up with upcoming PC game releases but I'm not looking to hit the highest possible settings all the time. I'm not looking for 4k gaming either.

I am in the US and have a budget of around $1200 USD. I am willing to go above if it will provide a very noticeable boost to performance. If it can go lower in price but retain performance I am happy to make that swap. In my build I haven't listed that I already have a keyboard, mouse, and a 27" 1080p monitor ready to go for my build. I'm looking to run at least a Cintiq or other brand tablet monitor from this, so being able to run at least two screens is a goal. Three screens is a future goal. I also would need a copy of Windows for my OS.

My current build is a Lenovo Y50 laptop with these specs:

4th gen i7-4710HQ processor (2.50GHz 1600MHz 6MB)

15.6" FHD LED AnitGlare Backlight (1920x1080)

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M 4GB

Hybrid 1TB 5400 RPM+8GB SSHD

I also connect two external monitors via HDMI cables and use an external keyboard and mouse. I'm looking to move from this to a tower build which I can upgrade semi-regularly to keep up with growing needs every few years.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thank you!

Since you want a build that will undergo many upgrades in the future, a good foundation, like a good case and awesome psu are important. After that, there are the mobo and cpu. In that regard, I settled on what I have myself and works flawlessly, at least for me. (AutoCAD, light Video editing, Gaming etc.) :)Memory/ Ram is also pretty good in this build (I have the same sticks in White, because mine is an all white build). Hope you like it, I chose the most reliable parts I know. :)
