This is the sweetspot. Great performance.

Might wanna wait for R3 for better performance at a way cheaper cost.

Did you quote right post? The psu is tier 3, mobo isn't that much, and case is only $30...

The CX550M is one of the new grey CXs, much better than the old CX and much newer than the S12ii. the core 1100 is fine, $30 isn't spending alot for a case.

1 failed unit compared to millions of perfectly working ones doesn't mean it's bad. i'm pretty sure you just got a defective unit, go to corsair and request a damage claim

Dear diary, today I learnt that $30 for a case is "expensive". Oh, and that one of the cheapest B250 motherboards is also classified as "expensive". And on top of that, an older, group-regulated Seasonic is apparently better than a Corsair CX550M with DC-DC regulation.

Man if he says that Mobo was expensive, hate to think what my MOBO would be classified under... and case for that matter too lmfao.

Congratulations! You found a lemon PSU. If the vast majority of the PSU's aren't firebombs, then it is safe to say, that it is a good PSU.
