i7 keeps going up to 70*C

Hi, my i7 920 (2,7 ghz) keeps going up to 70*C when playing overwatch.
Its cooled by a Cooler Master TX3 Evo, and my case has a front pull fan and a back push fan.

I have tried replacing the thermal paste, but it had no effect.

Now that CPU max temps depends on the invidual cpu, should i be afraid or is it okay?
If not, then what can i do to improve this without spending money?

cooler?

I do not know the ambient temperature, but i would guess on 20*C or something like that. Quite standard.
The cooler is a Cooler Master TX3 Evo. Its crap, but it was free.

70Cº really isn't that bad ya know? and it is a first gen i7 if it is still working fine now at this temp then it is gonna last 15 years.

ok then my guess would be Thermal interface(TIM) material in the CPU it self comes out of its best years. I mean its not a secret that intel and amd sometimes cheap out on ther TIM

By Thermal interface material, are you referring to the thermal paste on the cpu? Because i put on some brand new 15 minutes ago.
Will it be able to run properly on these temps?

My plan was also to overclock it. Got it for cheap from a friend, but the current temperature on base clock is holding me back.

I would try Delidding and replace the TIM inside. But you can damage the CPU if you are not careful! Its best to use a tool

Do i have any other options?
Can i continue using it with the current temperature?

Linus made a video about it too. I would try this if I needed to lower my temps.

If you don't want to upgrade the cooler I guess changing the TIM would have to do.

CASE: Thermaltake Armor Plus

MOBO: EVGA X79 FTW

CPU: Intel Core i7-3820 CPU

GPU: EVGA GTX 1080

RAM: Corsair Vengance DDR3 16GB

SSD: Samsung 850 PRO

HDD: VelociRaptor 300GB

Cooling: Kraken X60

yep cooling is everything, get a big air cooling block like prolimatech megahalems and if you can afford it a x5690,x5680,x5670,w3690,3680,3670 cpu .the x58 chipset boards will run xeons but still not cheap enuff yet.i swapped out my 920 for a e5630 and oc'ed. its running  fine.some off these cpus are hex core lol

Which video are you referring to?
I would really prefer not to change the TIM, as i do not have the time or money to get such tool.

Okay, i am satisfied with the current performance of the cpu, so i can live without overclocking it.
Then i'll let it be as it is, as i have no money to buy another cpu.

Thank you for all the help. :)
Have a nice day.
