Computer running at a standstill

So, my PC is currently running very slowly. Tabs and links take forever to open, and I'm currently trying to download a linux distro with about 8 hours on the download time.. for only 2.6 gigs.. My internet can definitely handle the speed, and I have plenty of storage space.. I did remove some PUP's with Malwarebytes.. but nothing has shown since then, and I tried to download BitDefender but it took so long that the program cancelled it's download.

I'm upgrading to an SSD in a few days, but help?

5-12% CPU, 56% Memory 2% Disk, 0% Network

Chrome's taking up 179.4 MB's in my memory, and that's where the PUP was found..

8 Gigs, 57% being used..

if youre on win10 its probably updates being downloaded and installed

and/or Windows Defender background tasks

Defender isn't scanning and I'm up-to-date..

It sounds like a virus of some sort, if your disk usage is normal. I'd recommend doing a complete windows reinstall once you get the SSD and see if the problem persists, unless someone has a better solution

task manager > sort by ram usage - highest to lowest

then post the screenshot of it

Disk went up randomly, then back down again.

1% disk usage right now, Ubuntu finished downloading.

Look at all the times that Google Chrome shows up.  Those are extensions to google chrome that you have downloaded and installed.  Close them (all of them) and see if that doesn't help.
