What phone?

Guest

So I currently have my droid turbo which is a beast of a phone, but its not charging. I am pretty sure its just dirt in the ports (I will be able to see if this is causing it later) But if it isn't I will have decide between repairing it myself or getting a new phone. Basically I was thinking of the G6 (20 dollars a month) or S8(+) (around 30 a month). THing about the G6 I have to wait 2 years to upgrade, if I kept the s8(+) in good enough condition I can upgrade every year.  But custom Romming (lol making up words) the S8(+) is supposedly complicated and might not be coming for the snapdragon version (the one I would get) So in the long run the S8 is less money (I'd upgrade every year) but I have to deal with freaking TouchWiz. I wish they would just add a switch to make it default with added features for say the Bixby and edge, but look and feels stock. How bad is TouchWiz now? And how does the S8 compare to the G6.

well LG has its boot loop technology that forces you to upgrade also uses an older SD821.

get the s8 or s8+ for long term solution, if you hate Samsung skin that much root+custom rom should help.

S8! It's practically the best droid out there (though it does have some niggles). Also, they've really fixed TouchWiz in the S8, it doesn't look as ugly as the old ones, and it's nicer than the S6 interface.

Hmmm so touchwiz is fixed? Plus Gear VR is pretty cool.

I haven't really used an S8, but the interface looks nicer than my brother's S6, which is a really nice phone. And its miles ahead of my dad's old phone, some budget Samsung with the old "ugly" TouchWiz. I'd go to a Verizon or whatever you cell providers store is and play around with one. You can also play media to 2 bluetooth speakers at the same time!

Oh yea I forgot about BT 5! I'm going by a Verizon tonight maybe I'll stop by. Although I don't wanna get too hyped up since it could just be dirt in my charging port...

IP 68 should help with the s8, dust and water resistant.

He isn't. I'd recommend the S8 as it's an all-round superior phone, but keep your current phone if you can as it's still a beast.
