Currently I am using a OpenVPN Server to host my VPN, but I am wondering if there are VPN Providers who can give better performance than DigitalCloud

depends on location and what u would be using it for, i live in south central USA and i use PureVPN and it works great, but won't work very well with FireStick and its ok with android phone.

Not sure if you can host your own VPn with them, but I LOVE privateinternetaccess. I have had no issues with them at all, almost zero slow down (when I am in the states), and the only downside is you can't use NETFLIX or any other legit TV/Movie streaming (i.e. cable provider).

Try ShadowSocks, in my case it is so much faster than any VPN protocol I tried before.

 

The speed is hugely dependent on how far from your place to the VPS, also how bad is the routing of your ISP.
