That is a Good CPU cooler,Jack Starvis used that in his build

The original 7700k build he was planning also had a NVME SSD,and there is nothing wrong to have one

I dont want to get him a cheep low quality PSU that will blow up and take his $2000 with it.

Stock cooler is better than it

Normal users won't benefit from NVMe drives so it's a waste of money

EVGA G2/G3 is enough, even a cheap Seasonic S12II won't blow up his system

That's an NVMe M.2, not SATA. Typically they will send you the seperate mounting hardware free, and it should have enough SATA 6Gb/s ports that it shouldn't matter.

Op Here, honestly budget  isn't really a massive deal, if there is a particular item that will suit me better and cost more i'm going to go for it. aesthetics is important to me, i want the thing to look good, nice and clean with a simple color scheme. i just really want a fail safe rig that i can learn how to over clock safely and give me a chance to get creative with a custom water loop. I'm ok with it being overkill, I just want this thing to handle whatever I choose to throw at it and not miss a beat

What's wrong with you? OP already said budget isn't a deal so just make your own part list for OP, choice is on OP's hand, don't have to be mad

If you're not familiar with making part lists, don't make them

You should be humble and learn from others. Sometimes we may get wrong when we think that we're right.

When I first came into this forum, I have a lot of misconceptions about PC building. Later on, I learn a lot from other experienced people and corrected the wrong concepts. Now I'm still learning and I try to correct other people misconceptions too.

Just keep learning, other people may be right with their points. Learn to accept them.

You could get a 1080Ti instead if you wanted. You could get an R7 1700 instead of the 1600 if you wanted, but I imagine the 1600 would be perfectly fine. Get the Enthoo EVOLV ATX instead of the P400S if you want. I would. The P400S is a perfectly good, cheaper option though, hence why I included it.

Yes, it is, and yes, it is. 850W is ridiculously overkill since 650W is enough for two GTX 1080's. $170 for an 850W unit is over-priced, whether it's platinum rated or not. You can get an EVGA 850W G2 for like $120, or an EVGA 850W P2 for $130/135. Keep in mind the G2 units could pass for Platinum rated.
